Job Description:
Job Purpose:
As an Asst .Prof – Industry 4.0 & AI in Manufacturing, you will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs in smart manufacturing, industrial automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, IIoT and digital manufacturing. You will develop industry-aligned curriculum, conduct hands-on laboratory sessions, mentor student projects, and support Industry 4.0 laboratory development to prepare learners for next-generation.
Skills:
- • Industry 4.0 fundamentals — cyber-physical systems, IIoT architecture, edge devices, OPC-UA, MQTT and machine-to-cloud connectivity.
- • Machine/shop-floor connectivity standards such as MT Connect and FANUC FOCAS; exposure to machine-monitoring platforms (e.g., Siemens Digital Factory solutions, MachineMetrics-type IIoT dashboards).
- • Digital twin, predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring concepts as applied in modern machine-tool and automation lines.
- • MES/ERP integration concepts and data visualization for shop-floor decision-making.
- • CNC controls and programming exposure (Siemens SINUMERIK, FANUC) and PLC/SCADA (Siemens TIA Portal).
- • Robotics programming and simulation (Robot Studio, RoboDK, Factory I/O) and familiarity with collaborative robotics.
- • AI/ML tools for manufacturing analytics — Python, MATLAB, TensorFlow, OpenCV.
- • CAD/CAM and data platforms — Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Power BI, Tableau, Node-RED.
Working Hours/Timing:
9.30 - 18.30 / 5 days a week
